Aurora Husky Ride

A cozy evening tour that takes you out into the wilderness with a chance to see the Northern Lights and a sparkling starry sky. Here, you and your companions sit on reindeer hides on a sled pulled by 12 dogs, driven by a professional guide. The tour goes through forests, over marshes and the frozen river. If the weather is clear, the moonlight illuminates the tracks, and with a bit of luck, we may see the Northern Lights dance across the starry sky.

How it works
In this tour – unlike our other tours where you get to drive a dog sled yourself – you and your companions are passengers on the sled. Therefore, it’s important to dress very warmly. During the tour, we’ll take a short coffee break out in nature.

Good to know

  • Dress warm for your husky tour. Adult-size warm clothing and shoes are available to borrow in sizes S-XXXL/37-48.
  • We have a very limited supply of children’s clothing. Please dress your child very warm.
  • Experienced guide
  • Two people share a dog sled
  • Tour language: English, Swedish
  • When it’s very cold we have safety precautions in place. In temperatures below -18 c, we don’t allow children under 12 on the tours. In temperatures -28 c to -32 c, we alter all tours to 1,5 hours. Below -32 c, we cancel all tours.

For who?

  • Children under 3 years are not allowed to participate on a husky tour for safety reasons
  • Children up to 10, or shorter than 120 cm, may participate on a tour sitting in the lap of an adult only. For that reason, only 1 child per sled (with 2 adults) is allowed. If you want to go with several young children, please contact us before you make a reservation.
  • Children ages 11–15 may be a passenger
  • For safety reasons, we do not recommend a dogsledding tour if you are pregnant. We advise against participation on a dogsledding tour from around week 20 of pregnancy.
